The importance of spiritual protection before all spiritual work

Spiritual protection is one of the most important and most neglected steps in the routines of most spiritually minded people I speak with.

Anytime we do a spiritual practice, whether that is opening up for meditation, lighting a candle to ask our guidance for help or anytime we open up to receive spiritual guidance, we open our energy to all other energies around us, good and bad. This is why it is so important to establish our spiritual protection before all spiritual work.

To establish our spiritual protection we visualize or imagine a tube of white light that originates in the highest spiritual expression that you can think of, this can be God, the Universe, the Creator or any other spiritual expression that represents for you your highest spiritual connection. This tube of light descends through through your body extending about 6 feet around, above and below. This is God’s protection surrounding you and forming a seal of protection. This tube of light should be established at least once a day.
